Robert “Bob” Kick, P.G., C.H.M.M., leads The Forrester Group’s Site Investigation and Remediation Service Area. Bob is a Professional Geologist and a hydrogeologist with more than 27 years of industry and environmental consulting experience, bringing results-oriented solutions to meet client needs.
The Forrester Group’s Site Investigation and Remediation team is composed of Professional Engineers, Professional Geologists, Certified Hazardous Materials Managers, former senior-level regulators, projects managers, and data management experts. So, when a complex problem requires more than one type of expertise, tool or approach, we are able to draw on this team to develop the most beneficial integrated solution.

LITIGATION SUPPORT SERVICES

Led by Ray Forrester, co-owner and President of The Forrester Group, our Litigation Support team includes engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, and researchers who have worked together on environmental litigation cases and PRP issues throughout the U.S. Ray Forrester is a nationally-recognized authority in PRP identification and remedial cost allocation. He has performed all phases of investigation and remediation, negotiated at all levels of government, worked with multiple PRPs, conducted chemical fingerprinting to determine PRP liability, and performed a variety of expert work related to remediation, remedial costs, cost allocation, remedy evaluation, regulatory requirements, and other related issues.

ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING

Brian Symons, P.E., serves our clients as the leader of The Forrester Group’s Environmental Engineering Practice. As team leader of this multi-disciplinary team that includes scientists, geologists, and former senior-level regulators, he sets the strategy and ensures delivery. Through his abilities to transform complex situations into manageable projects, he can quickly filter out the non-critical elements of a persistent, multi-media environmental site issue or a complex litigation case to bring an early focus on the solution or crux of the issue.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND SAFETY COMPLIANCE AND TRAINING SERVICES

Sandra Potter, P.G., C.H.M.M, leads The Forrester Group’s Compliance team. She is an ISO 14001 EMS Lead Auditor who has delivered projects involving all phases of environmental issues, including compliance; permitting; environmental, and health and safety auditing; due diligence for acquisitions and mergers; litigation support; and site investigation and remediation under CERCLA, RCRA, and state voluntary cleanup programs.
Our compliance team includes former senior-level regulators, trained auditors, and experienced, industrial environmental managers.

Kathy Rankin has over 25 years of experience in managing complex projects in the U.S. and U.K. She has led initiatives to introduce innovative service concepts in Fortune 500 industries as both an outside consultant and at Director-level within industry. She leads the sustainability practice area, which includes team members with environmental, engineering, and public decision-making expertise.
Her insights into corporate decision-making, marketing, and market research have been instrumental in her successes in supporting industry initiatives. Her more recent environmental consulting experience, combined with her understanding of internal and external business drivers gives her a unique perspective and ability to guide businesses through the transition to more sustainable business practices.

Shawn Grindstaff, Senior Mediator for The Forrester Group, leads the Facilitation, Mediation, and Collaborative Solutions Practice. He is on the U.S. National Roster of Environmental Dispute Resolution and Consensus-Building Professionals, making him a sought-after environmental collaborative expert for a wide range of client initiatives. His commitment to publicly-inclusive consensus-building and community involvement in environmental issues has been recognized five times through city council resolutions, mayoral honors, Chamber of Commerce awards, and statewide environmental awards. Broader recognition includes a 1999 National Phoenix Award for Brownfields Site Selection and Community Impact at a restored Brownfields area in southeast Missouri. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Region VII has honored his work on three separate occasions.
